Singapore Bid Committee

Singapore Bid Committee

We are very excited to present our vision for the World Congress of Dermatology 2023 and why we feel that Singapore would be the ideal host city.

Singapore is a melting pot of Asian and Western cultures situated in the heart of South East Asia. Getting here is hassle-free – we have a beautiful and efficient award-winning airport, convenient and extensive air connections, and visa free entry for delegates from over 80% of countries. Our convention facilities are state of the art and situated right in town, making access simple and quick. We have a huge variety of hotel accommodation. The Singaporean food culture is legendary and second to none, from inexpensive local street food to more pricy restaurants. Visitor attractions range from traditional cityscapes to modern architectural wonders.

Singapore is a democratic, progressive and open society. We are recognised for very high standards of transparency, efficiency and safety. Our bid to host WCD 2023 has the support of many nations in the region and we will work to ensure that delegates will have an unforgettable experience.

We have chosen as the conference theme “Dermatology Beyond Border”. This encapsulates our desire that clinicians, researchers, industry and other partners who gather in Singapore for the 2023 WCD will work towards extending the boundaries of dermatology. The conference will aim to improve cooperation across geographic, political and economic borders, and increase collaboration that will promote dermatology and improve skin health for all. It will present a broad, deep and interesting scientific programme that will cover not just clinical areas, but also to enhance patient and community engagement, and the understanding of basic and translational science. We aim to transcend borders to be an inclusive conference that will celebrate diversity.

The conference will be “underpinned by Science, will advance Care, and will celebrate Communities”.
